Adobe Photoshop CS3

Photoshop is the leading software program for image editing in which Training currently offers several hands-on courses. Each course allows plenty of time to practice new skills.

Photoshop is not an intuitive program and cannot be learned overnight. Training recommends that you take the first three courses for a solid foundation in Photoshop. Between each course, it is recommended that you make time for additional practice.

All of the Photoshop courses are available for both PC and Mac. Please inform the instructor of your preference when you arrive for the class.

Photoshop CS3 1: Selections & Layers

Recommended Prerequisite: General knowledge of the Windows or Macintosh operating environment

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Open an Image in Photoshop
• Explore the Photoshop Workspace
• Use Different Selection Methods
• Manipulate the Selection
• Create a New Layer
• Modify a Layer
• Add a Layer Effect
• Save a File

Recommended Prerequisite: Photoshop CS3 1: Selections & Layers

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Describe Different Color Modes
• Use the Color Picker

Photoshop CS3: Retouching

Photoshop CS3: Web Design

Recommended Prerequisite: Photoshop CS3 2: Colors & Image Size

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Optimize Images for the Web
• Automate Web Tasks
• Animate Images

Photoshop CS3: Advanced Techniques

Recommended Prerequisite: Photoshop CS3 2: Colors & Image Size

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Convert Images to Grayscale
• Simulate Illustrations
• Employ Masks
• Work with Gradients
